This morning at 6am, some of the team members along with some mentors met at DRB Fabrication to load up our tools and supplies on the charter bus. Then the rest of the team was picked up at the school. Loading took longer than expected, but because of that we got a send-off courtesy of the middle school and Middle River elementary which was great! Then we started out on our long day of travel! After driving for four hours we stopped and ate a sack lunch made by some of our mentors. The lunch bags were decorated by the Greenbush fifth grade class and the team was grateful for their involvement. After a few more bathroom stops and a stop for supper, we made it to Kansas City around 9pm. Upon reaching Missouri there was a thunderstorm, but we made it safely to our hotel and are looking forward to tomorrow. We are leaving for St. Louis at 7am and will be touring the arch before heading to the Edward Jones Dome where we are excited to be one of 600 teams to compete at the championship! We look forward to meeting many new teams and some of our old friends! Pits open at 4pm, and practice rounds will start at 6pm. Good luck to all teams competing!
