Day three here in St. Louis, Missouri and the Gators have had quite the day! It was a warm and sunny morning when everyone gathered on the bus to head to the Edward Jones Dome. We were scheduled for the first match at 8:30 AM. We lost 115-127. We came back and won match 17, 140-110. At 12:30-2:30 we were able to eat lunch and have a chance to talk with other teams, which is always a fun thing to do. We won our third match, match 27, with an outstanding score of 210-74! In our last match of the day, match 46, we lost 102-122; ending the day with a 2-2 record. Our scouts kept busy throughout the day taking stats and analyzing all the teams in our division. Our PR people in the pit were also busy meeting people and chatting about our team. In between matches a few of our team members were able to go on scavenger hunts provided by coach Mary Anderson and FIRST. Emily Tarala participated in Warroad’s coloring contest and won! Also, our safety captains, Hannah Anderson and Julia Stenberg, had an interview with the safety inspectors, whom were very impressed with our safety program and display. Finally, to end this exciting and eventful day, we attended the opening ceremony. The ceremony consisted of a live band, speeches from several sponsors, and Dean’s List recipients! We can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings!
